CORE COOLING HEAT PIPES (COOL PIPES)
Apart from simplifying tool design and reducing construction costs, they also ensure optimum moulded component quality. Tool downtime resulting from blocked waterways is minimised.
They are made from electroless nickel plates copper and are available from 2.0 to 20mm diameter and from 50mm to 350mm long.
Larger tubular Cool Pipes (up to 25mm diameter by 3.0m long) are used for extruder screw applications.
They are available in the same basic diameters and lengths as standard tubular Cool Pipes with customer specified baffle widths and lengths.
They have the same advantages as standard tubular Cool Pipes but also give conventional baffle type water cooling over the larger diameter 'stepped' section of the core.
They operate over the (Cool Pipe) temperature range of +5 OC to + 250 OC and are again suitable for use with all polymers.
Outer diameters range from 4.0 mm to 20.0 mm with inner diameters from 1.3 mm to 14.5 mm.
